Listen No. 26 - Erotiques d’amour

Record number 26: Erotiques d’amour

Genre: Novelty

Context: Laff Records was an independent label founded in 1967. It initially specialised in novelty records, but then shifted its focus to black artists, most notably Richard Pryor.

Laff was well known for its risqué record covers (some had to be sold under the counter). The whole collection is on this link.

My favourite track: As luck would have it, the disc was missing from this one. But the cover promises ‘…shivering breaths of animal passions’ mixed ‘with the rise and fall of man-sound and drumming…’
