Notes on Checking the Facts and Opposite Action

The next three  exercises are –

Differentiating Between Thoughts and Facts

Checking the Facts

Opposite Action

At this point, I’m going to do some shameless evasion and move on to the next chapter. I think I already practice Opposite Action in my life, and this week I’ve finally faced up to some health choices I need to make. More kiwi fruit and broccoli,  fewer iced buns, and so on. The route to my new plant diet has been a bit fraught (will it work or am I doomed?) so I feel I’ve more than checked the facts here, and I haven’t given into the very anxious feelings I’ve had around what I like to call ‘my grim health realisation”.

Just to add, since starting this book a few months ago, I’m definitely beginning to look at situations differently. I don’t seek out conflict, I listen more, and I keep my Wise Mind in mind.
